I really liek those rear signals and the little grab bar thing. I dig the cylindrical air box aswell. Good work.

Thanks, the cylinder where the air box used to be is supposed to mimic an oil tank, but instead, it houses most of the electronics.

I got the signals off ebay and powdered coated them.

Looks awesome man!

Did you make the fender?

What kind of pipe is that and how's the sound?

nice, the sell harley signal clamps for the handle bars that are like the risers for mounting the signals if those p-clamps prove to flimsey.

Yeah, I made the rear fender out of the front one.  Not sure what the pipe is off of, it was a shorty pipe that a buddy of mine had, he builds bike down the street.  It sounds good and has a good amount of back pressure.

I looked at those, but I didn't want to get to much bulk on the bars and those clamps are holding up well, for now.

I was gonna say too, you will eventually have to do something about front signals. Cool bob, though.

Nice work converting the front to rear fender.  Can you share how you did it?  How much as cut off, holes drilled, bracers added and such.  I would love to do that on mine.

I used pin stripe to make my lines to cut the tabs off.  I then used a grider with a cutting wheel.

The bracket was hand/vise bent using steel stock from Lowe's.  Like wise for the brackets to attach, they are made of aluminum stock from lowes.

Mounting envoled several measurments.  I places several tubes on the tire to keep the fender off the tire to the desired hight and then mark the postion for the holes with the bracket mounted.  The holes on the bottom where the origional fender mounted was tricky, I had to make several small holes until I was close.  I used a step bit for the drilling and made the bottom ones slightly larger to account for the bend of the fender.  The only need to be tightened enough to hold it in place.

This is a rigid setup.

The canister is made of 4 inch PVC and two end caps.  Purchased at lowes.  The pipe was cut to width and all 3 parts painted black.  I attached it useing 4 inch hose clamps that I attached to the frame using extremely large zip ties.  I will post pics later.

The seat was purchased on ebay for around $25 with the springs.

I wouldn't have done that much work if I was gonna go back the other way, but good lookin out.  Plus, all the parts I have off the bike are in excellent condition, I would like to see some of these guys get some decent parts and not have to buy them all jacked up on ebay for a ridiculous price.... I see that crap happen a lot.

It came out really nice, the idea was to make it look like the old school oil tanks, I think I hit it pretty close.  The only thing I may do different is use the black texture paint from Harley to give it that look, the gloss is ok, but it shows marks quick.
