Title: Re: Culutch cable Snapped...Need help on side of r Post by RidgeRunner13 on 05/20/10 at 09:06:04 To get home: Start in neutral. Push bike to get rolling. (works better with a little help). Shift into first. Continue thru the gears, it gets easier in higher gears. If you have to stop, shift into neutral while rolling. ;D I don't know how many times as a kid I did this. We had other 'creative' methods to get non-running bikes home, including hand to hand towing. Ofcourse those were much lighter bikes than we have now. 8-) I still keep ten feet of 'tow rope' under my seat. ::) |

Been here, done this... But now that I think about it... clutch cable snapped right? That means nothing happens when you pull the lever, right? Wrong! You can now use the starter while in gear. ;D Next time I'll give it a try. bike in 1st, standing beside or astradle, push button and push bike (yeah it's gonna need some help) and don't let go.
