Title: Speedo Post by babyhog on 05/18/10 at 08:13:19 I found this picture by chance, and I kinda like the speedo mount. Anybody know anything about it? http://suzukisavage.com/gallery/ALang4.jpg |
Title: Re: Speedo Post by Serowbot on 05/18/10 at 09:42:08 I think he just accidentally installed the stocker upside-down and backwards... Ooops!... :-?... I'm kidding!... ;D... Looks like it might puddle up in the rain though... |
Title: Re: Speedo Post by babyhog on 05/18/10 at 10:10:55 Rain? My Piglet don't go no wheres near no stinkin' rain... ;) But yea, I see your point... You think its homemade? I'm thinkin maybe it is, because of the nuts. |
Title: Re: Speedo Post by Serowbot on 05/18/10 at 10:16:19 ...definitely homemade... ;)... I would have made it flat or humped rather than sunk... if not for rain, for ease of cleaning... ... but, it's very intentionally sunken, so that seems to have been a calculated trade-off for the specific look... |
Title: Re: Speedo Post by dasch on 05/18/10 at 10:16:50 Oh, it's home made. Look at the chromed plastic trim around. I'm contemplating a similar thing. Or less... This would be in europe someplace. He has OFF-PARK-ON switch for lights, and the can in background reads "ketten spray". Castrol chain spray, sold in EU. |

I'm with you on that. I ride because I like to, not because I have to. I have only been riding about 6 months, and I have ended up riding in the rain twice, both times when it started raining while I was out. The second (and last!!) time, I laid Doc down and slid about 35-40 feet. No More!! |
Title: Re: Speedo Post by james may on 05/18/10 at 15:46:52 looks cool.. But question is why not just get rid of the speedo.. It looks so small might be pretty hard to read when speeding down the highway.. It looks real easy to make looks like a piece of sheet metal cut out with holes drilled in it. |
Title: Re: Speedo Post by babyhog on 05/19/10 at 05:27:42 It is kinda little, but I was thinking it would be nice to insert a speedometer/odometer that also included a trip meter! |
