Title: Carb question... Post by SavageNY on 05/18/10 at 07:33:41 Hello, IS it better to replace carb if running lean or rejet carb? I seen this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUZUKI-LS650-SAVAGE-CARB-KIT-1996-2001-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem19bb9accedQQitemZ110521666797QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories not sure if it works? Thanks |
Title: Re: Carb question... Post by verslagen1 on 05/18/10 at 07:38:19 rejet, get a set from lancer. getting a new carb is like throwing the baby and the tub out with the bath water. |
Title: Re: Carb question... Post by earlytimz on 05/18/10 at 07:50:20 That "kit" is only a replacement needle & seat. Not a bad idea to replace these if you're doing a carb rebuild, but unless you need them (ie: fuel in the oil, fuel filling up your air breather or cylinder, etc) just rejet & retune to fix your lean condition. As stated, Lancer is your man! |

Title: Re: Carb question... Post by klx650sm2002 on 05/18/10 at 09:46:50 As far as the plug goes a NGK DPR8EIX-9 or a denso IX24B, I have used both so which ever is cheaper. See if you can find a posting by Lancer (search mayby) and PM him. Clive W :) |
