Title: Re: solo saddlebag for bobber Post by PerrydaSavage on 05/04/10 at 08:43:11 Homemade saddlebag bracket that matches the OEM bracket that you can get from Suzuki (had it made for me) + a thick tan leather H.D. saddle bag (scabbed from an old beat up Softail) that I spray painted flat-black and added some decals. The bag is fastened to the bag bracket with sturdy zip ties that run thru some holes I drilled thru the back side of the bag. Bag is held closed with the velcro strap you see in the pic! |

Title: Re: solo saddlebag for bobber Post by Tiefighterpilot on 05/05/10 at 20:52:27 Now I just have to find a bag to fit my bike. HD solo bags seem to small. |
Title: Re: solo saddlebag for bobber Post by PerrydaSavage on 05/06/10 at 03:47:13 That one on my Bike is small, but large enough for a pair of gloves, sunglasses and a bottle of water ... not big enough for a weekend road trip however! ;) |

Title: Re: solo saddlebag for bobber Post by earlytimz on 05/11/10 at 08:15:39 I found a black canvas bag at an army surplus shop to use as a cool swingarm bag. This was the last one I did on a previous scoot... I like it when they hang low, almost dragging the ground. This bag was big enough for a couple long sleeve t-shirts, extra glasses, a drink or two & still had room for more. I will soon be looking for another one for the savage I'm building. The canvas is tough and waterproof & the velcro kept it closed up tight. The best part is that I think it only set me back about $8 and a couple thick black tie-wraps kept it in place. http://i43.tinypic.com/24occav.jpg http://i42.tinypic.com/2zno4nb.jpg |
