Title: Replacing Foot Rest Suzuki S40
Post by seany187 on 04/20/10 at 06:42:56

Hello,

I have damaged my right side foot rest for driver, I ordered a replacement rubber cover and the metal piece that the rubber goes around. However, I can't tell what kind of tool is needed to remove and replace it? I was just going to have the dealership do it, but I think they charge like $150 an hour, one hour minimum. Anyone have any ideas, instructions? I tried googling and searching the forum with no luck.

Thanks!

I  had mine all apart not long ago,...very easy. Nothing wrong w/ the rubber, but the pc inside was broke,...I quess from a fall before I owned it. I removed the rubber, straightend the metal pc, welded it up, reinstalled the rubber,.....its like a new one now.

On edit,......
remembering more detailed now, you must remove the peg from the mount, (remove allen bolt) because the rubber must come off to the inside of the peg. Seems it would be difficult to remove/replace it from the outside.
