Title: Rookie Question: Installing Petcork Post by stevene on 04/05/10 at 15:05:32 When installing a new Raptor on a newly-painted tank, should I "treat" the o-ring with something, or put it on dry and let it do it's thing? Thanks! |

Title: Re: Rookie Question: Installing Petcork Post by Digger on 06/01/10 at 20:50:06 Dry is fine, but if you want to dress the o-ring up with a little grease, Krytox RFE (http://www.restockit.com/2oz-krytox-rfe-pfpe-o-ring-lubricant-(442-29710).html) will work....it will not dissolve in gasoline. You almost gotta have a source, though, as the stuff is not cheap. I managed to get a new tube of it on eBay a while back for about $20. |
