Title: EPA stamp on muffler Post by jef.savage on 04/02/10 at 16:52:51 All new bikes are required to have an EPA stamp on the muffler.  Does anyone know when this began?  Specifically, was this stamp on an "86 stock muffler?  Thanks.

Title: Re: EPA stamp on muffler Post by Serowbot on 04/02/10 at 18:54:16 Since 1982, all motorcycles sold for road use in the U.S. must have an EPA certification sticker on the bike and a matching stamp, with the proper model number, on the muffler.  ;)...
