Title: Help me find these bikes. Post by gerald.hughes on 03/29/10 at 20:31:45 I know that almost everyone on this site either bobs, or chops. I am interested in turning mine into either a standard, or a cafe. Below are pictures of three Savages that have mid or rear set pegs and controls. I would very much like to be able to communicate with the owners of these bikes. Does anyone know who owns these machines, or how to locate and contact them? Too bad they didn't import it (as a 650), I would much prefer it to the cruiser style. The Tempter in my links uses the Savage / S40 engine. It was available as a 400, I don't know if they made a 650 version. |

Post by bill67 on 03/30/10 at 19:18:46 Yep they wee twins 270 degree firing which gave them a lot of torque I geared mine 1000 less rpm than stock,Turned about 3600rpm at 60 mph. Most gas mileage I got was 68 mpg on a trip,and they had richer low and high speed jets than stock. |
