Title: gas drip Post by oksavage on 03/22/10 at 19:49:58 I recently discovered gas dripping from the "handle" of the petcock.  I had recently disassembled and cleaned said petcock.  I rode the bike with no problems then 2 days later, drip.  I moved the bike outside and the drip seemed to stop.  Now I can't find any drips but there is a strong odor of gas.   I can't find any anywhere but if you leave the bike in the garage overnight it is overwhelming.  Also, I just filled the tank when I rode last Thursday.  Any input or ideas.  Where is it coming from?

Title: Re: gas drip Post by verslagen1 on 03/22/10 at 19:53:44 can be from the mounting bolt seals, 2 fiber washers. or dirt between the petcock and tank. or from the handle, there's an oring in the handle.  If you took it apart, could've scratched going back in.
