Sorry I don't have a pic of this. I found this part today while doing some routine tightening on the bike.

First of all I have an 09 LS 650/40. This part is down by the kickstand. It is about 2 inches long. It is able to be pushed in and it pops back out. It has a round head and not a screw on it. I hope I am expaining this correctly. I looked in my manual and no mention of this. Also what is the purpose of this piece?

Sounds like the kickstand switch.
