Title: Ever been hit by a F-150? I have. Post by Biddie on 02/03/10 at 09:59:12 Last Tuesday I was hit head on by a cager and his large truck. It broke my thigh and also broke my arm twice. He says the sun was in his eyes, but I had my headlight on and a reflective vest. I realized it was bad when I was upside down and flying through the air. Anyways the bike is totaled and I am too. They put a titanium rod in my thigh and a cast on my arm. I can't walk without my walker. Should be ok in a couple of months. Good thing is this means I have some parts I no longer need and will separate with on the cheap. It will be a little while before I gather a list but I know stock drive train(belt and pulleys), handle bars, set of Harley bars, rear and front fender, upgraded cam chain, two oil filters, rear seat, west eagle solo seat with springs and bracket, Memphis wind shield, belt guard, etc. |

I bet everyone who needs one of your parts will give you a good price for it, especially if the proceeds will help get you another bike. Good luck with whatever you decide. :) |

When I do get back into them I will surely get another savage. As for the parts I wouldn't be looking to make money off any of them cause they all came with the bike originally except the solo seat that one may need to be more than $5 and shipping. As of right now I'm looking at getting a classic 'cuda or Challenger with the settlement money. As well as a piece of land I can call my own. |

The new Camaro makes me want to get my hands on a '68 SS and restore it. Keeping one or two Savage parts seems like a good idea, both for later recycling and as a keepsake-reminder that you may want to get back into it one day. |

He was in Dodge Ram 2500 and still ended up with a broken right foot, right knee, right hand and right wrist.(kind of like he locked up on the steering wheel and brake pedal just before the impact). Took about 4 months to recover pretty well. That was 3 years back and he doesn't even have a limp anymore. Hope your recovery is as complete!! PS - Love to have your helmet lock if there is a key to go with it. |

I've still got a steel rod in my right upper arm from January, 1984. Lived to ride again. Looking at the asphalt gouges on my white helmet back then sure made a wear-it-every-single-time helmet fan out of me, though. |

Post by RadRacer on 02/04/10 at 05:25:54 glad to hear your alright i Hate FORDS but a 1975 f-150 actually saved my sisters life when she was 17. got hit head on by a '76 cadillac doing 80 in a 30 mph zone and came into her lane the hood stayed straight everything else ended up in the cab and pinned her legs and her face looked just like E.T :'( |

The spokes in the front rim are all broken, so I am going to let the towing company have it. I still have all the stuff I originally posted. All of it is going to be sold at whatever you think it's worth plus shipping. Just pm with what you want. windshield and filters are spoken for as of now. Sorry this isn't in the marketplace section, but technically the rubber literally hit the road on this one. lol p.s. as soon as I can afford one I'll buy another savage. ;D |
