start hunting down problem(see left my key on) and found the side of my coil is melted and pushed out so i no longer believe its the ignitor
has any one ever seen this happen before

Likely good news - you can pickup a used one for cheap on ebay

by the way how about a picture - as this is a first that remember

I had my coil go out, but never melted. I second the request for a picture.
