Title: Re: left my key on and now no spark . ignitor?? Post by justin_o_guy2 on 01/20/10 at 13:10:27 Ive heard its possible to hurt an ignition by leaving the power on & engine off, but that for damage to occur, the circuit had to be in the "deliver a spark" moment. Ive screwed up several times & left cars & the bike on & never hurt anything, but Ive heard it can,, so, that said, Id check all the connectors & make sure nothing is corroded or loose, Id KNOW I had a fully charged battery, if that meant hooking up cables to a car, just to eliminate a variable & then Id check. Heck, first thing Id do is the Hot Battery connect & test. Since you had the plug out, the starter wasnt working too hard to crank it, so the V drop on the battery was less & if it was spinning over at a good clip, it should have given a spark, If you had a good ground on the plug. |

Title: Re: left my key on and now no spark . ignitor?? Post by Savage_Amusement on 01/21/10 at 11:16:01 Just a thought but there are those two fuses under the seat and that little tiny rely/diode dealo under the gas tank that is wrapped up in the bundling. I don't know, just throwing out random stuff. |
