Its was 46* at 4:00pm here today so I fired up the Savage and rode for an hour. Wasn't too cold and I am glad I started the New Year out right. 8-)

I purchased a cold weather First Gear/Hein Gericke coat last fall and it worked great today. The only thing that was slighty cold were my hands. I was using a pair of Thinsulate snowmobile gloves and it was not too bad. I guess I'll be looking into heated gloves or grip heaters soon.

i use winter hein gericke gloves now on my previous bike i gave it some heated grips i ran into some electrical problems so i converted every bulb except the headlight to leds to save on power im lookin into handlebar muffs now

it was snowing on 1/1 but I got out on 1/2 in a nice 35 degree day.

i usually get out and ride on the 1st. this year was a no go, stuck at home with the kids. now theres snow on the ground >:( the last day i got to ride was christmas.

We had tons of snow, but I did ride mine from the front of the garage to the back several times lol.

I didn't get to ride on the 1st, but I have ridden during this winter between snow falls.

I also rode on the first. Not far, but a short one. It was about 49 degrees here in south Georgia.

-18F here last two mornings....-24F an hour north where I grew up...... I guess it doesn't matter the savage is torn apart spread across the shop. :)

got to ride christmas eve and day after pushing the bike out to the road across my ice rink driveway. Since then its been in the mid 20s (F) and thats just too freakin cold for me.

On the 1st 22 and snowing all day- done for the year -salty roads and ice! ...But I have to pull the battery if I don't want to buy a new one!

Years ago while working the midnight shift in Jan. heard a guy go down when he hit a patch of sand on a curve out front - went out covered him with a blanket and called the ambulance. 5 above 0. He had a helmet and a snowsled suit. Never head what happened to him. In 5 minutes the first EMT arrived. It's hard to lose these memories. Or the two bikes parked and one down on the side of 495 S in Mass and a girl crying and cradling a guys head in her lap while the traffic went by at 70-80.

A lucky friend went down doing 45 from a flat but was at work couple days later.

i rode on the 2nd lol me and my karate bros got up @ 8 in the morning, took a1a up for a long time!!

so not only is it cold down here in south florida(low 20's i heard), it was early AND we were near the water, bought some gloves and a thermal shirt for under my jacket the night before SO GLAD I DID!!!

my friend bought me a ninja turtle face mask to wear under my helmet, u bet your sweeet buns i will!!! ;D
