will the pri. gears from 4speed fit in the 5speed

Somewhere here I read that they are not. Unfornuately, the only way to really find out is to tear down a 4 spd & a 5 spd and compare.

I HAD A 4 AND 5 SPEED PRIMARY AT THE SAME TIME IN MY HAND AND THE 4 SPEED WAS A HIGHER RPM RATIO . AS IN LESS TOP END ... I WAS LOOKING TO LOWER HIGHWAY. I HAVE A 96 MODLE 5 SPEED.

THE WAY TO GO WOULD BE ;

HAVING A 4 SPEED BIKE AND PUTTING IN THE 5 SPEED PRIMARY GEARS.

IT SEEM I HAVE NEVER HAD A BIKE WITH LONG ENOUGTH LEGS AND A FIRST GEAR THAT STILL PULLS WHEELES.

I SAW A BIKE REVIEW ONCE THAT IMPLYED THE DR 650 WAS LONG LEGGED.

been talked about several times but no ones tried it that i know of so all answers are speculation. You'd have to try and tell us whether it does or doesnt work.
