Title: removing the battery
Post by LostArtist on 12/17/09 at 11:25:02

can you remove the battery without taking the seat off??

I just put saddle bags on my bike and it's now a pain to get the seat back on, the saddle bags raise the seat in the back to just make it hard to reach the screws on the side of the seat.

if you can't remove the battery without taking the seat off I'll just bite the bullet and take it off and then struggle to put it back on. no biggie

I've done it.
Just takes the right tool.
Long handled screwdriver if you can break it loose.
Or a long wobbly extention and a socket if you can't.

I never knew you were supposed to take the seat off...  no problem...

R&Ring the battery was the very first thing I did when I got my bike in July. Seems like it was kind of a pain to get it out, but don't remember the seat being the problem, or I didn't remove it anyhow. I think I can remember using a short stubby screwdriver for some part of removing the battery.
