Title: Re: head cover bolts Post by nicka on 11/24/09 at 14:53:22 mine (2003) Savage are 10mm (wrench size) hex with washer as part of the bolt head as you described. I don't have the chromed plastic covers, so I just went out and looked at them. |

Nick that's them, valve cover holder downers, I was wondering if there was a special name for them(apart from swears) as they have the washer incorporated(phew, that's a big one) In them. Mine are getting a bit round on the hex as they've been on and off so often, so I am looking to buy new ones but I would need to know the right mechanical(another big one) name for them,,,cheers |

I believe they are called "Indented Hex Washer" bolts... Indented... for the dip on top Hex... for the head shape Washer... for the washer bottom...
