Nice bottom mount aluminum housing with a European light/lens. Made the mount adapter, one hole up for the headlight, two down to the stock headlight mounting. |
Title: Re: Nasty Headlight Post by Routy on 11/18/09 at 06:13:50 $90? ! Maybe I'll sell mine. Ever since I came knats ass close to hitting a deer in the dark, I swore off nite riding :o But I've had close calls in daylite too. This is Deer country ! BTW, is that a '52 Ford ! :) |

Title: Re: Nasty Headlight Post by SURAZAL on 12/18/09 at 10:48:47 some to think about I bought a dropped bike and the shell had broken off at the mounts ... took it all off and made some cloth patches for inside and outside and after using a moto tool sanding drum to rough up the surfance and cleaning it all with alcohol I carefully laid the bandages in place with some regualr set epoxy ... that was almost 2 years ago ... about 30 mins work and 2 dollars in materials ... and the repair can't be seen ... I also looked up a replacement and laughed at 75 dollars for what I considered a molded salad bowl ... good luck all |

Title: Re: Nasty Headlight Post by PiaFea on 12/22/09 at 18:18:15 How could it be plastic crap if it has been fooling so many for so long time? Just wondering. |
Title: Re: Nasty Headlight Post by justin_o_guy2 on 12/22/09 at 18:24:26 People figure it out, either when they break it, decide to paint it, or, like I did, cleaning the bike up. It just felt wrong. |
Title: Re: Nasty Headlight Post by BurnPgh on 12/23/09 at 23:42:59 its chinsy for sure, but keep in mind its just the headlight and signals. Lotta cruisers out there now with a lot of plastic. At least we still have honest to god metal fenders, |
Title: Re: Nasty Headlight Post by justin_o_guy2 on 12/24/09 at 06:52:16 At least we still have honest to God metal fenders, Yep, the first week I had it it got lots of attention wherever I went.A guy at the bank came over & was walking around it, drooling, tho in a controlled fashion & thumped the front fender. He was shocked & pleased. Im pretty sure he went home & asked "mommy" if he could get one. |
