Title: No rear running lights
Post by thump5702 on 11/14/09 at 14:45:25

Hi, I'm new to the board but have been riding a 2006 S40 for a year and a half and have put on 16000 miles.  What a great bike, very dependable!  I am not the most mechanical person in the world but have changed the oil and battery myself, that's about it.

About a week ago, my bike tipped over while parked on a small hill, and I broke the rear left turn signal housing and bulb.  I replaced the bulb and taped the cover back on until I can afford to replace the housing.

I now notice that I have no rear running lights in either turn signal nor brake light.  However, the brake light itself comes on with both the hand and foot levers, and the turn signals themselves come on when I use hand switch.

Any thoughts?  I checked the two main fuses in the fuse housing and they are fine.  I looked at the wiring diagram in the Clymer book and have come to a halt. :-/

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks a lot.  I couldn't remember if they had been on as running lights before or not.  I appreciate the help.
