I was having issues starting the bike, so I replaced the battery. After installing the new battery, I get no power. Fuses are good, connections are tight and right and the battery checks strong. What have I done?

The real issue with starting has come to light.

Check the ground cable at the bottom of the engine near the oil level window.

also check the starter switch. could need a cleaning.

also check the fuses under the right side of the seat.

There have been several threads about batteries mentioning that some batteries have POSITIVE and NEGATIVE terminals reversed. Any chance your new battery is one of those?

Problem solved - the battery was bad -replaced it again and it fired right up -
