Title: Re: mag wheels Post by BurnPgh on 10/26/09 at 16:14:43 early 80's gs450's. You have to switch to chain drive. The spacing for the rear wheel is different. Lancer and I have had different results with that. But several people have made the switch. Have fun getting the bead to set ;D |

Title: Re: mag wheels Post by verslagen1 on 10/26/09 at 16:43:12 Read and weep... http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1205292181 GS450 for the rear should be direct swap out, same axle, same rubber dampers on the drive side, same drum brake on the other. oops forgot, rear is a 16" rim, still works though and might give some more options on tires. If you go to 130's, you can use harley tires which have deeper tread. on the front you got some options from GS450 to 750 all use the same size. Double check the tire size Pick the spoke pattern and go for it. |
Title: Re: mag wheels Post by BurnPgh on 10/26/09 at 16:48:33 direct swap except for the axle spacers. |
Title: Re: mag wheels Post by verslagen1 on 10/26/09 at 18:16:23 darn, forgot again. Front disk has a different bolt pattern. You need the gs450 disk and get the diameter cut down and some spacers. |
Title: Re: mag wheels Post by BurnPgh on 10/26/09 at 20:21:43 and space the brake caliper inward 1/4in. |
