With a plastic headlight len and nacelle, and the added wiring, how "big" of a halogen bulb can I push before heat and current drain become an issue?

I have a Silviania Silver Star bulb in mine -- makes a BIG difference riding at night.  Hit high beams and you can SEE far enough to ride at speed.

warning on the silverstar - do not run the highbeam during the day. I Always run my highbeam during daytime. I went through 2 silverstars in 6 months. The highbeam kept burning out. Yes. It is a LIGHT CANNON. On high beam especially you can see forever. It might aswell be daylight, but it's only daylight for 3 months. Then you're in the dark. The second higbeam I had went out as I was riding at night. It was a bit disconcerting. I dont recall what the step below the silverstar is. Sylvania has 4 variations. I now run the variation under the silverstar. No issue all season. The light isnt as white or crisp but it hasnt brunt out. Its give and take. The brighter you go the more often you're changing the bulb. The step under silverstar is quite adequate at night on low beam or high and has lasted all season.

I also run the Silverstar since a year now. Incredible lighting at night. I would have never thought that little headlight could be so bright.
