i wish !  or a new one ($30 - $40 K !)

last week somebody asked if it was a sportster

what would they thing if i took off the suzuki s40 badging?
(edit)

it's true isn't it? you look at these bikes and think "that's what a motorcycle is supposed to look like !"

Its great to know that our "simple" bikes get mistaken for much more expensive bikes.   ;D

i was riding next to an older(much older) gentlemen, he was on an indian bobber with a sidecar. he had all of these run and charity patches....the bike was beautiful!!

i told him so @ a light, he looks over and goes "what's that?!" i laughed and told him. he said "u seem to get up and go fine on it!"

he was correct!

i love people asking if it's a harley, or if it's hard to keep a bike from the 70's runnin lol mission accomplished!!!

Hmmmm?? I used to know who owns that fat-fendered Savage, but I can't seem to recall at the moment??

My S40 gets mistaken for a Sportster on a regular basis! 8-)

Oh man that is sick looking http://img3.harmony-central.com/acapella/ubb/love.gif

I wonder what kind of time/money was needed to do that.

been mistaken for a BSA a couple times. Its HD territory around here though. I usually get asked "what is that?!" And before Im done saying Suzuki I get some snide reaction. I am/have developed/developing a great disdain for HD riders around here.

The pic I posted actually came from here about 2 yrs ago.
Someone had the website posted and I just copied the pic.
Someone here may still have the web address for it.

Almost seems though like it was in another language ,so not sure how much good it would do.
Just more pics there ;)

I used Rancho shock boots from O'Reilly. $5.00 each & they come in different colors.

You guys got some sweeeet rides!!!  Suzuki S/VS motorcycles are exactly what I like in a bike.  It's the way bikes should be.  My VS1400 is slim, tall jugs,, no bones.  The guy behind Exile motorcycles, a brit, said American motorcycles look like Easter eggs on wheels.  Not these bikes.  ;)

i pulled up next to a harley guy last night, gave him a nod and he looked apalled that i had bugged him while we were sitting @ the traffic light for the minute and half that feels like eternity.

funny thing was, mine was louder! and he was in the left turn lane and i was going straight. somehow i got to go first so i showed him how the suzi 650 is way louder then his harley, and i paid 23,000 less  ;D

I've owned a lot of bikes since I started riding in 1970, but I've never had one that gets more compliments than does my Savage.

Funny!

i like being in a parking lot full of bikes, and being the oddball. not just because i have no paint on my tank lol but the older guys have tons of "how sweet a single is," and my favorite "a 650 single?!?!?!"

the sport bike guys just shine and put on a slip on exhaust, the average sport bike rider still has the warning stickers on his tank lol
