The " getting use to part" is the fact that it moves you close to the tank. I mean you are right at the tank! And like I said before, once you set down on it you don't move from that position. Another complaint is when you stop for a break and you want to set "side saddle" for a little while, FORGET IT!. It's like trying to pecrh in a teaspoon. I am 5'10'' and 190 -193 so my butt isn't all that big. Hope this has been of help. Ride Safe Marine5317 |

I had a little monkey butt, and I was tired, but my butt was not sore. I now have about 1200 miles on it. Every seat is going to be different for every person, just as every body is different. I weigh over 300 pounds, so my experience on a seat is going to be very different from someone who weighs, say, 200 pounds. Having said that, there is a reason why I have had a Corbin seat on almost every bike that I have owned in the last 20 years. They work for me. I know that a lot of people talk about how firm they are. I call that support. At the end of the day, the seat doesn't feel any different than it did when I first get on it in the morning. I have owned a Sportster, and while the seat feels cushier at first, after an hour or so, you find yourself squirming around trying to find a more comfortable position. Once that starts, it doesn't stop until you get off of the bike. As I have said in another post, there is a reason why there are so many Sporty seats for sale on eBay. I am not suggesting that the Corbin seat is for everyone. For me, I am just glad that they are finally making one for the Savage. My only complaint is that they didn't make a solo seat. |

Post by babyhog on 10/12/09 at 15:50:09 I put the Saddlemen raw gel seat pad in my seat and made a big difference, so I'm sorry to hear that the regular gel seats don't feel much different. I'm not very heavy, and every seat I sit on doesn't seem to "give" much. I don't like the looks of the pillow style seats. I did sit on a Mustang seat that felt very nice! Of course, it was waaayyy too big for my bike. My search continues..... I did find a Mustang on ebay for a Sportster and I emailed the seller for some measurements. Got the reply and was willing to give it a try, but the auction ended while I was out of town over the weekend. Funny though, the seat didn't sell, so I emailed the seller back asking if they would take the starting bid price, or if they were going to re-list, and I'd buy it. Didn't hear back from them today.... :( |

Post by bill67 on 10/12/09 at 16:44:42 Suzuki has two gel seats one isn't pillow,The way I understand it the gel is in the middle between the foam so you ready don't feel it like you would a gel pad on top,Its still going to work. Theres 2 seats on that page you had . |

They are only open on weekends and with hunting season starting this weekend, its not looking good for me getting there... but I'll search until I find the right one for me. It might just turn out to be the OEM gel seat. I'm glad everyone that got a Corbin seems to be happy with it. I just don't think its the one for me. |
