Title: Re: headlights Post by yogi on 10/10/09 at 08:23:36 it wasn't metal grinding but could be gear whine |
Title: Re: headlights Post by False Illusion on 10/10/09 at 08:29:46 What's the mileage on the bike? |
Title: Re: headlights Post by verslagen1 on 10/10/09 at 08:30:17 I have that in my 02 engine. but didn't have it in the '96 |

Title: Re: headlights Post by Charon on 10/10/09 at 09:00:48 I suspect the "noise as if breaking" might be the normal popping and crackling of the exhaust. Our infamous "backfire." |
Title: Re: headlights Post by yogi on 10/10/09 at 09:10:03 lots of people complain of "backfire" what is it? is it major harm to machine in long run? |

The epa mandates a lean adjustment on the carb. this adjustment runs great in denver can be adjusted, but don't ask the dealer to do it, he can't we have instructions in the tect section. most people don't complain, they "comment" affectionally. It grows on you. ;D |
Title: Re: headlights Post by False Illusion on 10/10/09 at 10:56:17 9300km=5766 miles... Hmmm...some folks here recommend a valve adjustment at 4000 miles. That could be good bargaining info for you, if it hasn't been done... Does the PO (previous owner) have maintenance records? What is the price of the bike?...check the NADA and Kelley Blue Book values on the bike: http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-23-0-5600-885-973-50587&l=1&w=23&p=38&f=5693&gc=mc>c=mc&any=0 http://www.kbb.com/motorcycle Make sure to plug in your zipcode. Pricing varies according to where you are located... Also check your local Craigslist to see what the bike is going for in your area. http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites HTH! (Hope This Helps) 8-) |
