Hello again.
Anyone on here from Ontario Canada.
How fast does your Thumper go.
On a longer ride my throttle hand and fingers can go completely numb and tingling and it gets difficult to move it.   anyone have a solution.   Better gloves or a throttle rocker etc.

Hey Sprout - I'm in Kingston. There are a large number of Ontario based members here. Don't have any idea how fast my '07 will go. Have never had it at WOT because I've never had the need to (older and wiser). I always have a lot of throttle left. A throttle lock/rocker is probably the best way to go but there are quite a number of vibration dampening hand grips out there that are far superior to stock. You might want to look at these. Where do you hail from?

Hi Hyde,  I'm from Oshawa Whitby area.   I'll check out new guips or throttle rockers.   I would like to lesson it for the long haul so I'm not waving my hand around when we finally stop.  Not Cool.

thanks

check out GRIP PUPPIES  online. don't cost much and they cut out a lot of vibration in your hands.

I had mine up to 80mph this weekend, it didn't have much more than that but I ran out of room so I don't know my top speed.

Fast enough for now. 140+ Km/h

Have only take short rides so far.
Was thinking about ISO grips and pegs

I personally like the throttle rocker.  Adding some weight to the ends of the bars should also help dampen some of the vibration.  I put on some foam sportster grips which are longer than the stockers, so an inch plus piece of steel rod was inserted into the end of the bar and tacked into place.  Epoxy would hold it too.
I like the fact that the bar is slightly wider (05 drag bar) and find that I hold more to the ends of the grips to.

i seem to remember (eventually) getting it up to 100mph

i hear the suzuki spedo is off 5 to 6 %

mine wil get to 70-80 easily, after that it climbs up slowly

I wrapped the stock grips in cork tape for bicycle handlebars.  Works nicely.  That and a throttle rocker, don't need to grip.  Light touch.

I would like slightly wider and slightly further back bars.  Need to figure out the reasonable limits of the existing cables & wires.

85-90mph  (indicated) is pretty easy on my '04 in Phoenix very dry and 1500 feet, after that it runs out of air. I am guessing that a chain conversion is in order for 100mph.
