Sorry for lack of updates. I had a stomach virus the end of last week.

Corbin emailed me letting me know they were done with the one piece seat.

I have emailed them back, letting them know they will still have the bikes for 2.5 months...if so they should take the time and make a solo, or what I would like is a solo/pilliion combo. That way those that bob their savages can have a bolt on saddle that hopefully works well.

My parents are driving out a uhaul, towing a trailer I purchased in CA that'll be hauling the bikes.

Side note-- Shipping two bikes costs as much as buying a small flatbed trailer, now I'll have a trailer to show for it.

Please post in the forums, write Mike Corbin a letter, send an email to Customer service, visit the factory and talk to someone at the cafe for lunch, whatever!!!
I can't stress enough, NOW is the time to get them to make what we want. I can't imagine they are going to offer 7 seats, saddlebags, and a trimtab fairing for the LS/S40, but I believe they should at least work on a single style seat at the minimum while the bikes are still there.

In fact if someone helps me, why don't we put a poll up...
Votes for a Solo, Solo/pillion, gunfighter, rumble, beetle bags, trimtab fairing. And let's be honest to ourselves, which ones would you actually spend your $$'s on?

As you guys know, I already spent my $$$ with Corbin's esteemed competitor, Rick Mayer.  I've had a Corbin seat in the past, and it was attractive, durable, and, most important, comfortable.  An off the shelf Corbin would be a lot more cost-effective than going totally custom!  I would have liked to have had the choice, but I've already bought the seat my Savage is going to keep!

Lovely setup Doc!  Looks really comfortable.  Heard great things about Mayer seats.  Nothing beats a custom-to-your-seat seat.

It looks like the head of an alien from the movie aliens.

They have a demonstration of how it works here:

I'm sticking with the memphis slim windshield, but I like the idea of a small wind blocking fairing that is so narrow.

The trouble with that corbin seat its almost 1/2 inch narrower than the stock seat

that does worry me just a bit. I'm hoping someone will get one and post about it soon. I'll get to try mine in December.

Is there an email address we can send our thoughts and wish list too?  I think they should offer a couple more options of the seats.  A Poll would be good also.  I would definitely spend the money for a stylish and comfortable seat.

I used: General Mailbox (http://www.corbin.com/email.shtml)

With some success: Cafe Post (http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1251590058/43#43)

The aerodynamics of the trim-tab seem to be a great idea, and I know you look over, not through, a motorcycle windscreen, but it sure would be a lot less fugly if it were clear or even smoke-colored translucent!

I would be grateful for a narrower seat, I do not need such a wide one, and it kind of pushes my legs out wider than they are comfortable with. Not so much a problem now with the new tank though.

I sent Corbin a question about the seat last Sunday. Their site says 24 hour turn around - this is Wednesday - nothing.  :P

Yes, I agree.
If the trim tab were a traditional clear/smoke, it would be on my wish list.  I have a national flyscreen for the summer, and a sportscreen for winter.  But I've paid less for both then for a single new windsail.
Beetle bags would be on the list, but would need to be cost effective.
