Title: filtering the vacuum lines? Post by JohnBoy on 08/20/09 at 14:28:04 A quick question. Is the fact that both the carb vacuum lines are open ended and unfiltered a risk of contamination? Putting a high flow filter in place would be pretty simple if it is warranted. Any comments? |

(if you changed petcock plug the vach line) vach end of line is filtered from the air cleaner.... daily dirt road riding? cant imagine whats goin to get up in there, a spider if its parked too long.. have heard filters on crank case vent tubes, first time for bowl vent |
Title: Re: filtering the vacuum lines? Post by Serowbot on 08/20/09 at 17:00:26 The vent tubes don't suck,... so no filter is needed... The crankcase vent,... blows... :-? o.k., sometimes it sucks too... I imagine you're sitting in your shop with two nifty looking little filters, thinking..... "Hmmmm?".... :-? "Maybe on my helmet vents"..... ;D |
