Title: 07 S40 - what can we do to it?
Post by smitty1 on 08/18/09 at 19:09:58

After riding my friends 05 S40 home from the guy she bought it from. I really liked the fit, it's handling and power. Got a 07 S40 with 1602 miles on it , as my commuter. I've also got a 01 Volusia (C50). This is my 4th suzuki I've owned over the years. I've never done anything other than adding windshields, radios, sissy bars and saddlebags to my bikes. No performance stuff. I see all these mods other people are doing and wonder, what can I do to mine and is there any long term effects. Am I shorting the life of my bike. Is there someone out there running a savage with the mods for more than a few years? So can some one with an 07 give me a list of mods for this year, that are worth while.
                                     Thanks Smitty1

Cheapest and easiest  is to adjust the pilot jet and go richer with the low and high speed jets, will give you noticeable more power and should last longer than stock because it will run a little cooler.

Intake, muffler and jetting.....
After that,... you're gonna' effect longevity..
