Title: Re: Sturgis 09, good times Post by kenshi on 08/15/09 at 21:29:38 Never rode before i chopped it, it sat in our back yard for about 10 years before i got it. My girlfriend was gonna have it rebuilt, but we got her the other Savage in the pics above. I have rode hers a couple of times and don't notice any difference. Also rode my Virago without for a day and no diff there either. Rain is a different issue ...lol |

Title: Re: Sturgis 09, good times Post by Savage Eddie on 08/21/09 at 11:15:39 sweet ride, i love the rear fender! i tried that look but wasnt happy with the cut. i see what i did wrong now! oh and no front fender and rain.....try doing 60 with a garden hose spraying in your face! i try not to get caught out when the skies are ugly... |
Title: Re: Sturgis 09, good times Post by Rocco on 08/21/09 at 21:18:20 are your handlebars stock? i have buckhorns on mine but yours look different...may be the rake u have playin with my mind! |

There's an old biker trick for the rain without a front fender. Tie a bandanna between the forks and the spray is disrupted. I tried it and it works really well. |
Title: Re: Sturgis 09, good times Post by Rocco on 08/21/09 at 21:29:42 i would remove my front fender but my freaking paint came out so good i can't help myself! lol rattle cans in the backyard and all!! |
Title: Re: Sturgis 09, good times Post by kenshi on 08/22/09 at 01:07:40 Stock handelbars with Harley 4inch risers. Angled the bars up a couple inches too. Looks like rake is a little different, but is from lowering the back of the bike i think. Rake is still stock.. Currently making a template to cut front fender to a more agressive design. Will have pics when i'm done. |
