Title: My bike getting worked over Post by dhowe003 on 08/07/09 at 20:05:08 here is my bike in pieces, getting ready for a re-build http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2009/06/10/bikepics-1693740-200.jpg here is the frame and tins after sand blasting http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2009/06/10/bikepics-1693741-200.jpg I mocked it up with a trailer fender, but it didn't stay that way http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2009/06/10/bikepics-1693744-200.jpg This is what it looked like after I got it together the first time, but I had an oil leak, so I decided to rebuild and paint the motor http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2009/06/27/bikepics-1710052-200.jpg I have gotten a carb kit and rebuilt the carb along with muffler and air filter. I will post some pics of the final product soon. I want to get a smaller tail light and make a new wire harness for it to get rid of the excess bundles I shoved into the old air box. But for now I am just ready to get back on the road and ride. |

Title: Re: My bike getting worked over Post by dhowe003 on 08/10/09 at 09:43:08 Actually, I have changed the muffler and put on a little sporty style, I am still messin with the carb to get it just right. It has alot of power but it is poppin when I release throttle for shift and still has a little pop when I shut her down. I will post a pic as soon as I get a chance. |
Title: Re: My bike getting worked over Post by dhowe003 on 08/10/09 at 18:02:43 Here are some pics of my 87' bobber as it looks today. http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2009/08/10/bikepics-1751392-200.jpg here is the motor after getting re-built and painted. I got the polished bolt kit and I think it looks nice against the black. I am still debating if I should put the chrome covers on top of the motor. http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2009/08/10/bikepics-1751393-200.jpg I used the belt guard and the plate light and made them into a side mounted plate. http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2009/08/10/bikepics-1751394-200.jpg http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2009/08/10/bikepics-1751395-200.jpg http://p1.bikepics.com/pics/2009/08/10/bikepics-1751396-200.jpg That's what she looks like today. |
