Title: Fender Vs. Tire w/Goldilocks analogy Post by High-Def on 08/04/09 at 14:11:04 Ok, as I'm chopping my bike I find myself shopping for a new fender. I'm looking at one like this: SIGNATURE 6.5" RIGID REAR FENDER http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh270/HiD3F/Bike/tn_baldwinbobber10.jpg The one I currently have is the stock 01 fender: http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh270/HiD3F/Bike/07-04-09_0842.jpg I am currently running a 140/90/ 15 and have about 3/4" of room on either side of the tire within the fender. I have determined through other numorus threads on the subject that a 150/90 15 will fit. Here is the question. If I am planning on putting on a 150 is a 6.5" fender wide enough, too wide, or just right? Am I putting the cart before the horse? Should I just order the fender cause that's the one I want then fit the tire to the fender? Thanks for your responses. |
