Title: odd squeeking sound Post by onedivision on 08/03/09 at 00:42:12 Recently, my '07 has strarted to make an odd squeeking sound from the engine- just until it gets warmed up & only while riding. After a couple of mins., it slowly disappears. Any suggestions as to what my be causing this? Thanks in advance, John |
Title: Re: odd squeeking sound Post by Oldnewguy on 08/03/09 at 05:00:07 It might be the drive belt. Mine will squeek if it gets wet. Could be a little moisture that dries up after it runs a bit. |

Title: Re: odd squeeking sound Post by Skid Mark on 08/03/09 at 14:54:39 If you find its the drive belt, do a search for info on realigning it. For the quick fix, I use bees wax. I scrape a a bit on boths edges of the belt (that are easy to get at)a couple times a week. This keeps the squeek subdued. |
