Title: Brakes Done... Post by SimonTuffGuy on 07/23/09 at 19:33:27 The bike was due for inspection and the guy gave me my sticker, but said I should get the front brake pads replaced... He ordered me up a set and I installed them today. Everything went smoothly with the "how-to" from the site! Thanks. :) Besides that... Finally painted the pipe, need to get a heat shield still, and debating on what's next for me... My GF took and passed the MSF, so she's on the hunt for her own bike. Once she's got that, I'm pretty sure I'll do some sort of chop or bob, 1-seater type deal. How is everyone? Been super busy with a promotion at work lately... :\ |

Title: Re: Brakes Done... Post by John_D on 07/24/09 at 02:40:25 I just used the "how to" to change out my brake pads Thursday afternoon too! Super easy. Longest part was spraying it down with brake cleaner trying to figure out creative ways to position a hunk of cardboard to keep the overspray off of everything. The new brakes are awesome, nary a squeak! Congrats to your GF for passing the MSF. :) |
