I want to fit some fork gaiters so I need to know what size/type fits. I have searched previous posts and there is mention of "daystar" gaiters but they don't seem to be available here in the UK. So...what else fits? What length and what top/bottom diameters should I be looking for?

look up daystar on fleabay (US) theres a pic with dimensions.

OThanks for the suggestion - I now know the dimensions - but is there anything else apart form the Daystars that is a direct fit?

They are also sold under the name "MSR"... model 58..

Look up vintage bikes. The daystars are said to fit many. Look up what the daystars will fit and start from there.

I used standard motocross "boots" from Cycle Gear. But I did cut them down to fit better.
