Two hoses run back from the carb and end, open, under the seat. They show I think as "21" on P. 188 of the Clymer manual.

What are these for? They're not plugged. Should they be?

vents for carb
hoses should be tucked into frame
this keeps them from peeing on your crotch when flying upside down.
