Title: Gear shift lever adjust?
Post by voldigicam on 07/09/09 at 08:36:33

I could do with a slightly higher gear shift, that is, higher off the ground.  I notice on the linkage locknuts on a threaded shaft.  Very few threads showing.  Is this an adjustment mechanism?  The service manual seems silent on that matter.  It would be logical.

Thanks!

loosen both lock nuts, one is right handed and the other is left handed.  to adjust turn the rod then retighten the locknuts.

Thanks.  That's what I figured once I looked at it, but I'm upside down in the parking lot at work.  Not the best working environment!

Look around here, I did it a couple of weeks ago and posted which one is left and which is right, just can't remember right now. :)

Look at the threads you can tell which way they turn to loosen.
