Title: Floorboards
Post by FreeSpirit on 07/07/09 at 01:12:20

Will these work on my Savage?

http://www.jpcycles.com/Search/ProductDetail?sku=5500000&N=0&Ne=0&Ntk=All&Ntt=Universal%20floorboards&Ns=DefaultSort&results=10&No=

I thought I had some others bookmarked but now cant find them ::)

Just wanted to make sure these are ok.

Also....if anyone knows, will any universal ones/or these fit on without much problem?

Thanks!

Yes, These will work.  All you will be required to do is enlarge the bolt hole since the Suzuki bolt is slightly larger that the Harley.

Thanks and for the pics!

So this is reversible...if I decided I didnt like the floorboards, right?

Youre not changing anything on the Savage, you'll be changing the holes on the floorboards, right?

Any pros and cons with using floorboards? (For those who have them)
Although I really cant imagine any cons!
Just trying to get all my questions out in this last post, before ordering them :)

Completely reversible! To reverse, just remove bolt and floorboards, reinstall the pegs, and replace the bolt.

You put a rubber pad on the brake pedal?
Or on the shift lever?

Can you get the rubber pad at a auto parts store?
(I dont do alot of shopping at the auto parts stores, although that would be my guess :)

BTW Great idea ,I didnt think of putting a rubber pad on the brake pedal, but it seems now,it should have been there all along. :-?

ebmiller2--
Got my floorboards yesterday, and hubby is drilling them out today.  Thanks for the description and photos.  It made it all so easy.
One question--yours look so straight and flat--did you make an additional adjustment, or is it just the photo?
The quality is nice, so it doesn't seem like it will be an issue, but since you've had them awhile, have you ever considered putting that heel rest piece on them?  I think they will be fine the way they are, but since I am new, hubby is advising me to ask and consider all options to make my riding experience more comfortable.
Thanks so much!
