Post by pitbullcustoms on 06/30/09 at 18:18:45 Ok so here it is i just traded my kawasaki Ninja 500R for a Suzuki Savage but it runs alittle rich it bogs out at higher RPMs it has a brand new stock muffler and air filter.. my question is could it be running rich becuz it had a performance muffler before i bought? i have heard of people running straight pipes...i love loud bikes so can i just get a pieace of tubing bent up and bolt it on or do i actually have to buy a muffler?

Title: Re: muffler? carb? Post by Yonuh Adisi on 06/30/09 at 18:59:01 Check the mixture screw, if the plug is removed someone may have worked on the carb to match it with the aftermarket pipe that was on it which is now causing it to be too rich with a new stock muffler.
