Title: mixture screw
Post by GrateFuLDad on 06/28/09 at 20:32:56

my mixture screw is boogered up and i cant turn it to adjust it ... any ideas on getting this out..
i did use a small tiny drill bit to go back and forth and back and forth real easy in flathead groove to try to get some sort of (cut) space there to adjust/remove it but wondering if there is any other way to get this out...? i am just going to replace it with another one...
i think whoever owned the bike before me when they took brass plug out must of messed this up?

Reverse drill bit, or easy out,... use a variable speed drill going very slow with good pressure, when the edge catches lighten pressure and let the bit back it out.
or,... if you're really cheap like me,.. get a small, sharp edge phillips, give it a light, sharp wrap with a hammer, to embed the tip into the brass, then back it on out.
