Read the manual and it says adjust from 1-5 for light to stiff.. using a drift?
ok so i know this should be easy but can someone tell me what a drift is first??
and also how to adjust these shocks? i look at my shocks where it says to adjust and all i see is a hole with a chrome at the bottom of it? how do i know if they are on 1 2 3 4 or 5 ?

thanks and sorry for my wasting space but i did look and search for the answer before posting such question...

A drift can be any straight thing you can fit in that hole... Phillips screwdriver will work. It's actually a metal pin used to align two holes...
If you get down low you can look up under the bottom shock skirt and see the notches,... count'em and you'll know where you are set.

I use a phillips screwdriver(as a drift).If you take your shocks off,turn them upside down.Under that chrome piece it will look like steps.You will see a point resting on a step.If they are closer to the bottom step(bottom of shock)they are in the "soft" setting.The higher you go the stiffer they will be.

ok i got it thanks.. i was making it harder than it was.. i did not realize i had to use the phillips(drift) as a handle.. i was thinking more of twisting something small with the drift like a screw..etc.....

the rear is stiff now and i will take my wife for a trip around the block in the morning to make sure they are better for 2up...

I like to get some non-oily lube on the notches for the shock adjustment. Oil stuff will just hold dirt.

If we call the softest setting the #1, then #2 is the factory setting. I'm 200# plus riding gear, and I like the #3 setting for solo riding.

Whatever you use, you want a good fit to keep from deforming the hole.
