Title: oil level
Post by rl153 on 06/28/09 at 17:28:48

When my engine is cold the oil(with the bike level) is at the top of the marks with a space at the top of the glass . When I run my engine for 3 minutes and the shut down ,and rest for 3 minutes the oil is right in between the oil lines .When I ride for an hour then shut down the motor and let it rest for 3 minutes the oil is at the top of the glass with just a little air bubble on top .When I rest the bike on the kickstand ,the oil window is completely empty .Is this the correct oil level or is the high reading after riding mean I need to drain some out ? Thanks

Your oil should be good were it is.

RL,

I find I get the most repeatable readings of oil level if I check it before the first start of the day.

IHTH!
