Title: Clymer Manual Error?
Post by genejohnson on 06/18/09 at 10:26:40

Since I've been having wiring problems with my 86, I've been getting aquainted with the schematic for the 86 in the Clymer Manual. In the past some of you have pointed out errors and I think I have noticed one. There appears to be a gray wire going from the Speedometer lights to the front turn signal lights and connects nowhere else! Is this an error or am I missing something? Gene

Since I don't have an '86 I can't tell you whether that correct or not.

But zuki has a habit of running multiple lights in series.

In the case you have noted, the speedo lights are powering the running lights.  If either light goes out, so will the other.

Great. I just threw out my old xmas tree lights that were wired in series. Major PIA getting them working. Does this mean I will need to throw out my bike too. :o
