Well it would take me that long to get there from here, 15 miles from canada in northern ny. Like the idea. :)

Do you have to adjust your air mix for the mountains? Just wondering, I live in flat central IN.

Actually, my '03 stock setup never backfired until I went to the mountains in April. When I came back to sea-level (Norfolk, Va.)- back to no backfire. Of course now after switching to Sporty muff, with I'm sure a not 100% airtight pipe seal, and white spacer mod......Decel backfire. I actually feel like I'm riding a a true Savage now.

I have the sporty muff on with no leaks -- it is quiet and does not backfire or chuff unless I get on the open road and get it really hot.

Taking an exit ramp from full speed makes the neatest sound as air slides back into the muffler creating a long series of mini-chuffs in time with the engine RPM.

The sound reminds me of a beagle snuffling while he scents something.
