Title: Verslavy Post by Jimworx on 06/06/09 at 16:57:45 How do I know its time for a new cam chain? I'm measuring the length of the plunger and its around 22mm. What is suppose to be within spec? Will the Verslavy solve my problem? I'm trying to post pics, but it keeps indicating that the file is too big. |
Title: Re: Verslavy Post by BurnPgh on 06/06/09 at 18:06:54 The chain generally is only part of the issue. The design of the tensioner and wear on the guides, particularly the rear guide, all play a part in the premature extension of the tensioner. Unless you've got a good many miles (better than 30k)the verslavy should be all you need. |

Title: Re: Verslavy Post by Jimworx on 06/06/09 at 20:50:31 The bike has 21,000 miles. Everything seems fine, but being that I have the engine cover open, I thought I would do the mod. How long will it take? |
