It will be fine. Its no different. If you have the S40 than you will have no issues remoutning th seat. If like me, you have the savage with a 2 piece, than its a bit of a squezze toget the seat under the backrest, but its do-able. |

Here's a link to the pics of my mod. It didn't quite raise it enough for me, so I just put the tab on the front of the seat on top of the hold-down plate for now, and that put it up enough extra to be comfy. Of course that way I definitely had to make sure and get the two bolts on the side good and snug, because they're all that keep the seat from pivoting side to side now. ;D I took some measurement, and am going to dig through the scrap bin at work this weekend and see if I can come up with something taller and better looking. Modding is a slippery slope indeed! :D http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1239074042/0#0 |
Title: Re: seat lift mod with single piece seat Post by TheCaliKid on 06/03/09 at 15:46:34 Great mod, did it on my 07. I added some hard rubber on the frame tubes near front (over existing ones) to keep it rigid. |
