can i jump it with a car battery of will that f things up?

U can take a battery to an auto parts store. They will test it, charge it if need be, etc.
Wal mart too.Tho they have screwed up for me.

Yes you can jump from any 12 V - ground battery. As long as you go + to + and do that first: then go good battery - to bike frame or ground strap bolt so if it sparks it will do it away from any gases around the discharged battery. won't need real heavy duty cables like you would for a car/truck. Also can use a booster pak, for that I use a long phillips screwdriver with a piece of tubing slid down from the tip to almost the handle. Use it like an extension of the + booster cable and you won't even have to take off the seat. Will need a helper to do the starting drill on the bike while you hold the screwdriver tip on the + battery terminal. Max

They'll probably charge it too fast. No more than 2 amps! Charging too fast shortens the life of the battery...if it has any life left in it.

If you intend to jump from a car/truck/van/etc DO NOT TURN ON THE 4 WHEELED VEHICLE.

And disconnect as soon as it starts. If it stops when you disconnect, you have more serious problems.
