I am thinking on making a bid on these. Does anyone think these could be cleaned up and mounted on the savage?

2 inch inlet... 1/4 inch thick shim or adaptor to fit the stock headpipe....  that means weldon, not clamp, for the adaptor.... they appear to have about enough oil to change the lubes on a deet 6-71 fried onto them.... you're talking lots of serious scrubbing, even if you use straight lye to cut that funk.... 40 plus shipping is reasonable, but you'll spend 10 times as long re-habbing them as installing....

I think you get one to fit, but cleaned up is another issue.
That bracket weld is ugly.  and a question would how do plan on mounting it?  I don't think the bracket will line up with the existing hanger, so you might have to weld on a new bracket.

You can sand and it will remove the discoloration, but won't be polished anymore.

the headpipe outlet is 1 1/2 inch exhaust tubing, or a reasonable metric equivalent....

At the  very end of the header where the muffler clamps on it is 1 5/8" OD
