Title: Main Jets Trivia Post by matt on 05/18/09 at 10:24:02 Just curious if anyone knows comparison to mikuni jets and dyno jets. I have a dyno jet kit, with these 4 main jets: DJ140 DJ142 DJ144 DJ146 PO had a 144 in there i changed to 146 but i think i will go back down to 144. Also, The Needle has several clip positions, im wondering will moving the clip down (which would actually be raising the needle up in the carb or shortening the needle) be the same effect of the "White Spacer" mod? I notice the white spacer is exactly 2 of the 'needle jet - notches' tall i wonder if there is any correlation there.. 6A4D434C5056454D4A240 wrote:

The thing to remember is, needle is an obstruction in the emulsion tube. The thinner it is the effect is like making the main jet larger. DJ has cut needles to their specs, and it is some times very much thinner than the original. Cant swith from DJ needle to stock needle and run the same main ... or vice versa. Cool. Srinath. |
